Why PCB Properties Need Purpose-Built Camera Coverage
Panama City Beach is not a typical residential market. The same address might see 50 different groups of guests in a single season. Rental managers on Thomas Drive and around Pier Park handle dozens of units simultaneously — they can't be on-site for every turnover. A camera at the front door, the parking area, and the pool deck provides documentation that protects the property owner, the guest, and the manager when disputes arise. For commercial locations along Front Beach Rd and the Hwy 98 corridor, cameras reduce shoplifting and provide liability coverage after incidents in the parking lot.
Salt air is the killer of cheap equipment in this market. Cameras mounted at beachfront properties on zip 32408 and Laguna Beach face a corrosive environment that destroys unrated equipment within one season. We only use IP65-rated or better housings with stainless hardware — not the big-box units that look good in an ad but fail by the following spring.
What We Install
Wired IP Camera Systems
For permanent installations — single-family homes, commercial buildings, and multi-unit complexes — wired POE (Power over Ethernet) systems are the gold standard. A single cat6 run carries power and video. We mount the NVR in a locked closet or equipment room, run cable through the attic or exterior conduit, and mount cameras at every entry point and parking position. The result is a system that runs 24/7 regardless of WiFi stability, records continuously, and survives the Gulf humidity without dropouts.
Wireless Camera Systems for Rentals
Vacation rental owners on the Sunnyside and Sunrise Beach stretches often need cameras that the property management company can check remotely without a local NVR. We install WiFi-based systems that push footage to cloud storage, send motion alerts, and integrate with popular short-term rental platforms. We also advise on placement rules — Florida law requires disclosure to guests about cameras; we make sure your install is legally positioned and properly disclosed.
Doorbell Cameras
A doorbell camera at the front entrance covers the highest-traffic touchpoint for any property. We install and configure wired doorbell cameras (for consistent power) and position them to capture vehicle tags in the driveway — useful for rental accountability and useful when cars go unreported in a dispute.
Service Area — Panama City Beach and Eastern Bay County
We cover the full PCB strip from the Hathaway Bridge end of town west to Laguna Beach and Sunnyside, along with the Pier Park district (zip 32413), Front Beach Rd corridor, Thomas Drive (zip 32408), and the Inlet Beach and Carillon Beach areas on the eastern edge. For commercial installs in the 32407 zip (north of the bridge, Panama City proper), call and we'll quote the drive time.
The Installation Process
We start with a site walk — usually 30–45 minutes — where we walk the exterior and interior with you and identify every blind spot. We note the sun angle at each mounting point (glare toward the west in the afternoon washes out an east-facing camera on the Gulf side), the nearest power source, and the best cable route. From the site walk we produce a written placement plan and a fixed quote before we schedule the install day.
On install day we mount cameras, run cable, install and configure the recorder or cloud hub, test night vision and motion detection, and train you or your property manager on how to pull footage and set alerts. We don't leave until the system is working and you can see every camera from your phone.
